The LATAM Challenge restarted this weekend, with 1036 of the initially registered 1557 from last week deciding to play in the tournament after moving to Battlefy.
Day 1 saw eight rounds of play, narrowing the field down to a remaining 256 players, of which 11 still sit on the perfect 8-0 record, going into Day 2.
Twenty-three players with 5-3 records made it into the Top 256, including Lucas Esper Berthoud, while Carlos Romão's and Willy Edel's breakers kept them just outside advancement.
None of the MPL or Rivals members are currently at the top. Paulo Vitor Damo da Rosa dropped at 3-2, Luis Salvatto is narrowly hanging in at 6-2.
